1. Sites like Monster.com say unemployed need not apply

    As bad as the job market is, I think the title is a little misleading — they’re not directly advocating discrimination on the unemployed, they’re actually refusing to discriminate those who are using the service to post job ads… all in all, they’re a host site for their own clients… This argument is very similar to the one about torrent websites who are posting links to places to download torrents (the website isn’t involved at all with providing downloads or actual infringed material) and whether they should be held responsible or not. This is also similar to YouTube and its users who upload infringed material. Should the parent site be responsible for everything happening under it, or should it just provide a space for action to happen without responsibility and gatekeeping/censoring of their users/applicants? I tend to like the latter more.
